Many of you will not be aware that I have Rheumatoid arthritis.
I was diagnosed at 14 yrs of age. Between 14 and 21 I tried every orthodox medicine that was available with no success. By the age of 26 I was completely disabled and told to get a wheel chair.
That whole time I kept a positive attitude, I was sure I could beat it, it was just a matter of finding the right treatment for me. When I was 26, using diet and supplements to repair my leaky gut and correct deficiencies I succeeded.
Now, at 43 years old, I am a Homeopath, a single mum of 4 gorgeous kids and I am capable of doing anything i put my mind to......except some jars....jars are my nemesis! :p
I am also currently undertaking a double Adv Diploma in Naturopathy and Western Herbal Medicine. The Adv Dip Naturopathy also includes a heavy nutrition subject load.
Today is a big day for me. This afternoon I have a practical assessment for my Massage subject. This is huge because I have severe ulnar deviation (deformities of my hands) from the time I was trying orthodox medicine.
In all the years I was under orthodox medicine, one thing really stood out to me. Now this is just a generalisation, but all the children I met at appointments had a great, positive attitude despite their pain and most worsened gradually. The elderly people had a less positive attitude and many worsened much quicker. I really do believe that our attitudes have a significant impact not just on the severity of our diseases, but the speed at which we decline.
The main point of this post is to let you all know that you don't need to give up on your health. You don't need to ever give up on anything!!
You don't need to accept an orthodox diagnosis that says you can't ever heal!! Our bodies are amazing and have an innate capacity to heal, it's just a matter of supporting it appropriately so it can do it's job. You can utilise both orthodox and alternative treatments together to achieve the best health that you can possibly achieve!!
Remove the word 'Can't" from your vocabulary RIGHT NOW!! Don't give up! Dont ever give in! We can truly do ANYTHING!!! It's all possible if we have the right attitude!! xxxxxxxxx
