Rose for Grief and Stress

Further to my last blog post Re: grief and stress, here's a lovely helpful herb.
Rose is an absolute delight to the senses, buts also an incredible herbal medicine. Any rose can be used, but the best medicine comes from the most highly scented roses.
Amongst it's many properties, Rose is often used to uplift the emotions and ease depression, anxiety, irritability grief and heartbreak.
It can help soothe the overwrought nervous system, it is considered to be a cooling nervine tonic. And can aid in insomnia and exhaustion. Rose petals and Rosehips are predominately used, but the leaves are also used.
Rose can be used in Teas, in the bath or foot bath, as a tincture, essential oil and both rosehips and rose petals can be eaten.
